Silencing the Brave: The Supreme Court’s Disgraceful Attack on Trans Troops
Why We Must Organize, Mobilize, and Show Up for Our Trans Community Before It’s Too Late
I am not sure if you have all heard, but the Supreme Court just ruled on Tuesday May 6, 2025 in a temporary decision that trans service members are to be banned from the military. Under this ruling, trans service members are set to be discharged within 60 days.
I have set up a donation fund and I will be coordinating with local organizations to figure out the best way to get those funds where they need to go. Because let me be clear, this is completely unacceptable. These are people who have dedicated their lives to serving this country, and this is how they are treated? Simply for being transgender? This can not stand. Absolutely not.
Let’s talk about the ruling itself. It is soaked in extreme animus, calling trans people dishonorable and blaming them for the so-called weakness of the military. Sure. Meanwhile, a four-time draft dodger sits on a gold toilet signing off on $400 million luxury jets to replace Air Force One while gutting programs like Medicaid and Food Stamps. The audacity is mind-blowing. The same people calling trans service members dishonorable are the ones committing crime after crime, robbing the public blind.
The Pentagon will immediately begin moving as many as 1,000 openly identifying transgender service members out of the military and give others 30 days to self-identify under a new directive issued Thursday.
And where is the “Support Our Troops” crowd? Dead silent. Or is that slogan only reserved for straight cisgender service members? Because if someone is risking their life to serve and protect this country, it should not matter who they are. But as usual, MAGA Republicans are obsessed with gender and other people’s genitals.
Take Nancy Mace for example. Her favorite hobby is not meeting with constituents, it is taking photo ops with bathroom signs. She literally stakes out restrooms to catch trans people in the act of using the bathroom. She even has a problem with all-gender bathrooms. Which is wild considering we all have one in our homes, yes, even Nancy. Or does she force all the men in her life to use an outhouse out back?
I have already filed a formal ethics complaint with the House Ethics Committee about her disgusting behavior and abuse of office.
And let’s talk numbers. Trans service members make up just 0.7 percent of all active duty military personnel. Someone explain to me how that tiny fraction of brave people is somehow the reason for our military’s weakness while trump is actually weakening national security by allowing Kristi Noem to spend without accountability. ICE is out of control. DHS’s budget is about to collapse. They are on track to run out of money two months before their fiscal year ends.
If DOGE wants to investigate inefficiency, start there. DHS has been illegally redirecting funds meant for other programs and dumping them all into ICE and so-called border security.
And let’s not forget the hundreds of illegal flights deporting people to El Salvador. Just yesterday, Anonymous announced they hacked the GlobalX flight tracking system and pulled the manifest. Names of those illegally trafficked to CECOT are coming soon.
I will be posting a more in-depth article tomorrow, but for now, I have one simple ask.
